Gisburn Vale
Gisburn Vale is a fine-grained Spanish sandstone-limestone with a neutral grey-beige tone and subtle veining. Chosen for its strength, consistency, and refined finish, it offers excellent durability and low porosity. Ideal for paving, cladding, and landscaping, it suits both contemporary and traditional designs while performing reliably in UK conditions.

Gisburn Vale Sandstone is a fine-grained litharenite/calcarenite quarried in northern Spain by an independent supplier committed to consistent quality and responsible extraction. Its pale grey-beige tone, uniform grain, and subtle veining make it a strong visual choice for refined architectural and landscape projects.
With excellent technical credentials — flexural strength of 9.7 MPa, compressive strength of 77 MPa, and minimal performance loss after 56 freeze-thaw cycles — this material is proven to perform reliably in UK conditions. Its open porosity of 12.5% and water absorption of just 0.43% provide stability and durability over time.
Gisburn Vale is not an alternative to heavy-duty gritstones but is ideal for paving, cladding, walling, and bespoke stone detailing where surface quality and clean definition are essential. The stone is supplied sawn or lightly textured, in bespoke and modular sizes.
